How does it feel to be the 1st Runner up for Miss Pakistan U.S.A pageant?

It feels truly amazing and is such an honor! Sometimes I still cannot believe I actually am Miss Pakistan USA 2014 First Runner Up. It makes me feel very good about myself and proud that I was able to do so well, since all nine of the contestants were so sweet, beautiful, intelligent, and talented.

Do you think it was a fair decision by the Judges?
Yes, I do believe it was a fair decision made by the judges. We were being judged on many different aspects: confidence, poise, talent, individuality, intelligence, to name a few and I do believe everything was looked at fairly.
Tell us a little more about Yourself?
I am a young woman full of many goals and aspirations for the future.  I would love to have a family of my own someday, and would also like to own my own business in the near future. I would like to own a medi spa since I enjoy medicine and health care as well and have an interest in the cosmetics, beauty, and spa industry. I am very close to my family and friends. I believe if you do good you will receive good, it is important to be kind and selfless in your dealings with people but it is also important to take care of your own self and your own needs. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, painting, creative writing, being healthy and fit, arts and entertainment (such as Cirque du Soleil shows and such), and traveling to different places- I feel that there is so much beauty in this world to be seen and so many new and fun experiences to take part in.
How does it feel to win 3 sub titles besides the First Runner up and did you expect it ?
I was very pleasantly surprised to be awarded First Runner up as well as three awards/sashes! I honestly was not expecting to do this well, and remember thinking to myself, “I really hope I at least get awarded one sash throughout all this!” But to be awarded as Miss Pakistan USA 2014 First Runner up, as well as People’s Choice, Darling of the Press, AND Miss Intelligent was just a huge and amazing shock. However I am truly honored and grateful for it. All the love I received from the audience was priceless and truly endearing.
How was your experience at the Miss Pakistan U.S.A pageant ?
My experience was whole-heartedly nothing less than AMAZING! The entire weekend and the show was such a blast. From the introductory dinner at Allah Rakha restaurant the first night, to the late night rehearsals, to the photoshoots and getting dolled up by the talented makeup artists, to just hanging out and bonding with the other contestants, Zanib, and the rest of the organizers of Miss Pakistan USA- every minute was fun and this will definitely be one of my most treasured memories for many years to come!
What do you want to accomplish in your reign ?
In my reign, I hope to be able to help spread more awareness about Pakistanis, our country, and our beautiful culture. Pakistan is often portrayed negatively in the public and the media, so it would be nice to change that. I want to help support charitable causes to help the less fortunate people of Pakistan, as well as help shine light on issues dealing with helping and empowering women in Pakistan. We often hear about issues such as acid attacks on women, we hear about divorced/widowed women being mistreated, we hear about women sometimes being denied an education and other rights, and so on. Being able to help out would definitely be something I would like to do.
Your advice to the future Aspiring participants?

My advice to future aspiring contestants is to be yourself and have fun with the entire thing. Do not focus so much on winning and “competing” that you forget to enjoy yourself, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and just the fact that you are deciding to participate and step outside your comfort zone in such a unique way is an accomplishment in itself. Try your best , make new friendships, and look at this as a learning experience- you will learn more about who you are as a person and what you think about certain issues and topics, when prepping for the question and answer round, and will notice an increase in your self-confidence and self-esteem. Also, doors will open to opportunities you would have never seen coming otherwise so just remember to have fun and not take it too seriously whether you win or not!
